My boyfriend has talked about the garlic knots at this spot for 2 years and as much as I wanted to try them, we live an hour a way and I never saw it fit to take the journey. However, we had time on our hands and ventured to good ol' Great Neck where he was ecstatic to show off these garlic knots. They certainly did not disappoint! I've had plenty of garlic knots in my years but something about these just hit differently! It was as though every bite of food made a conscious effort to whisper sweet nothings to each of my tastebuds. We went back the very next day and ordered a dozen to go! I may have to gas up my car and take another trip over there soon. Oh and the pizza was good too!
This is my first time here at La Bottega. I stopped on for a slice so that it's what I adj reviewing. I entered the restaurant and was greeted pleasantly by Adam ago I guess is the owner. He was very nice and offered me some ideas. The choices of pizza was nice and looked great. I ordered a corner of Sicilian and a regular slice. While waiting at the counter, I noticed the huge garlic sticks, so why not? Ask was delicious, the crusts were cooked nice and crunchy. The garlic sick was delicious as well. I also ordered a medium come, total $8....not a bad deal They have pasta specials on Mondays and Tuesdays and other specials on Wednesday and Thursday. I spoke with Adam about delivery to our school early and he was very accommodating, so w will order some lunch here in the future. All in all, everything was fine and delicious. 4 stars fit note, when I get into an entre, then we will revisit!
